Sudden Change

From: Chad Mosley

I know i haven't posted in a long time. Wow, more than a week. This is due to some RL things going on. I am in the process of doing a few things that need to get done. As well as getting ready for College. Starting January I'll be going to Akron University. Majoring in Psychology. Most likely going to be an eight year degree, but I won't be gone that long. I am however working my ass off to get as much money saved up so that I can pay my bills pretty easily while going through school. So a 60 hour work week hasn't been very uncommon for me as of late. Hence my lack of posting and being on SL. I will try to get on as much as I can. As far as the club and coliseum, I am not sure what I'll be doing with either. None of them have been opened to the public as of yet, so I may just get it so that i can open them and have someone run either or for me. I'll post when I can and hope I can get on as much as I want to. Till next time. Thank you for reading.

Coliseum

New, and very good, Plans...

All I have to say about this is... w00t!

Thursday I am acquiring another 4456 sq. m. of land. Thus bumping my owned land to 10064 sq. m.. I have a deal with someone that is somewhat good. At least in my perspective its great, but financial wise, Charles Schwab would most likely say.. "WtF... are you thinkin'?" So under that term, I am not telling how much I am getting from it, heh. Also I am attempting to get even more land, around 2400 sq. m. for me as well. Giving me a total of 12464 or so sq. m.. With this new land there will be so much more that can go on. As well as more space for the weekend vendors, and regular vendors as well.

So here's the new news. Getting new land to build onto the coliseum. So the land mass is more than doubling as well for it. Right now the coliseum is practically seperated into multiple segments. I may also be rebuilding it to look a lot better. Instead of the flat corners it will be rounded, this goes for the arena pit as well. I am hoping to get something new, or a new concept drawn out within a few days. The building may be temporarily on hold till I acquire the new land. That way I don't have to completely rebuild it and all. But it might be a good idea. *shrug* I should have some pictures up shortly on my flickr page. http://www.flickr.com/photos/djiketnyak/

I almost have the club up and ready, just need a few minor touches. There are two ladies that will be running it quite a bit. They are great friends and great workers. I still don't have a set grand opening quite yet, but it should be soon. I don't want it to be too long because I may lose the dancers that the managers have hired. And I don't want that. They've worked hard for it to come this far.

Also I have plans for a memorial that I will be building as well. This may be in another sim. Yes, on some other land that I am buying. Its around 3k sq. m. Thanks to a gernerous person that I know from the forums. This land will be specifically for the memorial. Not giving out information of it till I can get a good organization going for it. And then it will be open to the public.

Also for anyone who may be willing to give donations.. Whether its a liden buck, or 50 million, anything is so much appreciated. Even if you can't donate, just stop by 244, 208 in Io. Tell friends, family, and your dog too. Thanks.

Any comments posted here will be answered as quickly as possible. I check for them almost every hour.

Few new things going on.

I'd first off like to say that I am pleased to see the two comments on the last post. Its good to see that I at least have some good people that read what i have to say. So thank you so much. Keep in touch. ;)

Secondly, I finally have the coliseum somewhat built and realized that it is too small. I currently own 5408 sq. m. in Io and its split in half between the club and this little project. Although the club isn't quite open, if it doesn't do very well then I may just tear it down and make it all a part of the coliseum. There some land right next to me that i'd like to get, but the people that currently just bought it hasn't contacted me back yet. I'm willing to pay quite a bit for those plots of land, which will put me somewhere in the 13,000 sq. m. catagory for my tier. Which I am perfectly fine with. If I had the money I'd buy a sim. heh.

Also I have been thinking of the games that will be held in the coliseum. A lot of which will be gladiator type competitions and tournaments, as well as a soccer type game, and some others that may come to me in time. There will be a registration that will be required for entering the events, and a small fee for some. Hardly any of the games will allow weapons that are not made by my team and I. (Right now its just me though) With registration there will be a ladder. With this people will be able to climb, or fall, as they progress in the ranks. No one will be able to get into the events even as spectators without going through the front gates. This is mainly due to security reasons. I have so many plans for this place that it will be having an event everyday, and an average of at least 3 events per day. If the coliseum starts to become in high demand, like getting a lot of people wanting to get in to watch or to just participate, then it will be built bigger.

Along with the coliseum there will be shops setup inside the building. These will be suited for the events. This is because there will be so many different items that can be used in the events. The type and grade of weapon, accessory, and/or armor, will determine your class. And the class will determine the price of the item. As far as the non-violent type of events there will be different jerseys for different teams. As well and a team registration so that people can actually play against good opponents.

Any questions IM me in world, or post a comment. Thanks.

Doubtful if read.. but

I doubt anyone actually reads my blogs, but I am going to post this anyway so that I don't have to later. I have started working on an Arena next to Club Onyx. Its not a huge arena, but something that can be used for many sports that I have planned for it so far. Initial construction has started today and should end within the coming week. Expect the first games to be held here by at least December 1st.

Quite a boring day

I haven't done anything in SL at all today. Wasn't really anything interesting going on at all either.

Going to be working on some plans for the club, and a few other things that I have been thinking about.

Space Station

Found out that you can build up to 768 meters in the air. Figured i might make a small space station for a little project. Do a little research for high altitude builds and flight. I am pretty sure that an object can go up to around 4,000 meters without disapearing off world. I have some plans for a space station that can fly up to around 3500 meters, with a base port at 750 meters. I have to do more research on this and figure out what can be done with this.

Satellites are in the research plan as well. Check to see what possibilites they may hold at such high altitudes.

Many things are possible, just having to think them up can take time, and then figuring out how it needs to work can take a little more time. This is why I like to do research in SL. I will be documenting all my research in thesis form, and will be available to the public.
